1950s Lawrence Peabody Horseshoe Back Lounge Chair with Wood Base

1950s Lawrence Peabody Horseshoe Back Lounge Chair with Wood Base
Nice example of a 1950's tub or barrel back lounge chair, designed by Lawrence Peabody for Richardson Nemschoff. The sculptural walnut base is in good condition. Designed for comfort and a striking appearance, it has a flat arm that wraps the entire chair. Low profile and compact. The chair needs reupholstery; fabric shows wear. Sturdy, with hardwood frame, coiled springs, and wood legs.
Measures: 30ʺW × 30ʺD × 26ʺH, with a 16” seat height.
Refinishing, reupholstery, and fabric are separate, custom charges.
