1960 Hollywood Regency Walnut Credenza with Appliqued Scroll Tambour Doors
1960 Hollywood Regency Walnut Credenza with Appliqued Scroll Tambour Doors
Exceptional and unique sideboard credenza made by Albright & Zimmerman around 1960, in Van Nuys, CA. Hollywood Regency in style, the tambour doors have the original off-white speckled paint finish and are appliqued with exquisite hand-carved wood scrolls, attached with small screws. These scrolls have an intentional distressed finish and resemble tarnished silver, but they are wood! The original artichoke-shaped knobs open the tambour doors, which are in excellent condition and slide well. The top is walnut wood veneer with solid walnut edges and trim underneath, and has intentional pitted "distressing", which is all original (some is pictured). The show wood is walnut. The interior has adjustable walnut shelves.
Two drawers are built in and lined with red felt. These drawers stick a little and are made from a painted material.
The walnut wood on the piece has been refinished. The tambour door painted finish is original and needed no work, so we left those lovely door panels alone. In the style of Dorothy Draper.
Measures 72” wide x 20” deep x 29” tall
